Welcome! My name is Deborah Bradseth, and I am the owner and designer of Tugboat Design. I have been in business since 2012 and on a daily basis I work with authors from all around the world at all stages in their publishing career, including authors who are brand new, who have multiple self-published books, and authors who have signed with publishers. I have a few authors who I am close to, who share with me their stats, experiences and more. This gives me insight into the author world from not only a design perspective, but the author perspective as well.
When I am working with my newer authors, I have found that they have similar questions since they are just starting out. I take the time and am always happy to answer their questions. I’ll even research before answering, just to make sure I’m giving them correct information. But that brings me to why I started this blog. I wanted to have a place where I could send my authors knowing they’d be getting valuable, easy to understand information. Yet, this information will be valuable to all authors, at all stages in publishing.
I hope to grow this blog, grow this community, and make this a place where authors know they’re getting the most up to date information. I look forward to this journey together and meeting new people.
